Sustainable Neighbourhoods Partnership Forum
date:
time:
address
The focus is: Equality Impacts of the Housing Strategy.
This Forum gives you a chance to feed in to the Equality Impact Assessment of Manchester's Housing Strategy, the primary purpose of which is to ensure Manchester City Council's policies meet the needs of Manchester’s diverse communities.
It's a useful and significant opportunity to be involved in finalising the strategy which will outline the Council's focus and ambition for the next 10 to 20 years. There will be further consultation on the document and the delivery plans which will accompany it later in the year.
The short presentations will be followed by facilitated workshops in which you will be encouraged to contribute constructive suggestions for priorities and actions. Workshops will discuss the equality impacts of key policies and ambitions of the Housing Strategy, focusing broadly on:
* Improved Quantity and Choice of Homes
* Improved Quality of Homes and Neighbourhoods
* People better connected to the Housing Offer
Further information, and the workshop questions, are attached. If you have any queries, or would like to know a bit more about the format of the forum, or how you can participate, please drop me a line. All my contact details are at the end of this e-mail. And please also forward this to others you think would be interested.
