Manchester's Local Area Agreement.

This is a link to Manchester LAA which has now been submitted to Government Office North West for agreement. It sets out how Manchester intends to improve the city, what's important what's not...what is the direction of development etc...
From page 17 onwards, are the National Indicators (for which Manchester must report back to Government on) and State of the City Indicators (for which the City's improvement performance will be measured).

Local Area Agreement (LAA)

I would be quite grateful if someone could tell me simply how we are expected to respond to this document - are our comments welcome, and if so how do we make them? How does it relate to the LDF consultations? I've only just downloaded the 29 pages and my heart sinks a little when I read the management-speak gobbledygook in which it is written. And in common with the LDF Core Strategy document it tells us page after page that the prime objective is economic success, which underpins everything. But in the LDF documents and meetings I couldn't find a clear indicator of economic success - just a graph which to me showed that the principal gains in wages over the last ten years were by those who don't live in the city but commute in to work. However I am greatly reassured by this document which tells me (on page 10) that these strategies "will make a contribution to narrowing the wages gap between residents and workers in Manchester ...". Well that is very good news!

Anyway I'll go now and try to digest the indigestible, but any help would be appreciated.
